This railmotor entered service on the Selsey Tramway about 1924. It was built on a Wolseley-Siddeley (old) motor car chassis and was chain driven. The body is believed to have been built by Drake and Fletcher of Maidstone, Kent.
An early photograph show the chassis only running on the Kent & East sussex Railway as a type of goods vehicle with a rear platform.
Some time after arrving at Selsey, the railmotor was married up to a converted Ford Model T lorry, and ran with it back to back. This lorry may be the subject of a future Steam And Things kit. The unit finished it's sad life on the Shrophshire & Montgomeryshire Railway.
The kit will be as complete as possible per our usual specification and will include K&ESR and any other suitable transfers. The product is now available from us. 7mm and 4mm test etches have been produced and a 7mm test build carried out
